All Dorchester Sports League is established.

It is founded by Joshua Powell and others. It was created, according to Powell, a teacher and baseball coach and scout, because, “There is not much structure for players in the minority community after age 12. . . With all the distractions, it’s easy for kids to go astray.” The league continues today.
